“I want you, dear reader, to remember that one holy way of mending the world is to sing, to write, to paint, to weave new worlds. Because the seed of your feeble-yet-faithful work fell to the ground, died, and rose again, what Christ has done through you will call forth praise from lonesome travelers long after your name is forgotten. They will know someone lived and loved here.”

Will Anderson is a senior editor at Waterbrook Multnomah. He’s also a pastor who currently serves at Southlands Church Santa Ana.
He grew up in Phoenix, AZ, where he cultivated a love for writing—thanks to the sweltering summers which kept him inside, as well as his parents’ refusal to buy him a video game console for the duration of his adolescence.
He earned his B.A. in journalism at Biola University, and his M.A. in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology. Will has also taught theology and Bible classes at Woodcrest Christian High School and Cottonwood College.
Will writes regularly for The Gospel Coalition, Dwell Bible App, and Preaching Today’s Craft and Character podcast. He’s done freelance work for many churches and organizations, including The Chosen TV series. As an editor, he loves helping pastors write books that edify the church.
Will currently lives in Orange, California with his wife Emily and two kids, Callie and Hayden. Most evenings you will find them walking through the neighborhood or learning to garden in the yard.
A FEW OF WILL’S FAVORITE THINGS:
Getting to know his neighbors, exploring nature, California, the mountains and desert of his homeland: Arizona, Mexican food (also, Mexican Coke), hot wings, My So-Called Life, songwriting, drumming, hosting and gathering people, Rich Mullins, theology, and teaching.
